Anarchist May Day against the state and bosses, against war, fascism and

which the social base is currently receiving on a global level, amidst 
conditions of deep and comprehensive systemic crisis, is escalating and 
both the contradictions of the state-capitalist model of organizing 
society and its absolute inability to provide answers to real social 
needs are emerging.

States and transnational mechanisms are putting war machines into 
motion, launching military operations and shaping warring societies both 
to expand their sphere of influence and to continue the plunder of the 
state and capitalist machine. A condition in which the only real losers 
are the peoples themselves, who are faced with the war massacres and the 
consequences of war, impoverishment, poverty, uprooting and death. This 
is what is highlighted in the most tragic way, both in the war massacre 
in Ukraine after the invasion of the Russian army 4 years ago and in the 
genocide of the Palestinian people which constitutes the brazen 
escalation of the bloody persecution of the people of Palestine from 
their land by the state of Israel and its allies, which has been going 
on for 78 years. This is also evidenced by both the ever-increasing 
aggression of the US with its intervention in Venezuela and the criminal 
coercion of the people of Cuba to live under exterminating conditions 
without any electricity, as well as the war that rages to this day 
against Iran, as a result of the crisis of their global hegemony and the 
enormous and multiple internal crises and their need to reassert their 
control over strategic regions around the world.

Greece, as a member of the European Union and NATO, is firmly oriented 
towards the aspirations of the dominant political and economic elite of 
which it is an integral part and is tied to the chariot of 
Euro-Atlanticism, responsible for so many interventions in recent years 
and beyond. The continuous energy and defense cooperation agreements 
between Greece and the United States constitute yet another example of 
the ratification and expansion of relations between the Greek and 
American states, confirmation of the attachment of the domestic 
bourgeoisie to the chariot of interests of the dominant international 
political and economic elite and strengthening of the role of the Greek 
state in the crucial region of the Balkans and the Eastern 
Mediterranean. It is precisely this strengthening of the role of the 
Greek state, which today passes through the undivided and comprehensive 
support of the US and the state of Israel, that makes the entire Greek 
territory the rear of the front line of Western imperialism in the 
Middle East. The American base of Souda in particular functions as a 
critical center for military monitoring, coordination and support of 
American and Euro-Atlantic operations throughout the Mediterranean and 
the Middle East. The upgrading and expansion of its capabilities is 
directly linked to military actions in the Middle East, including direct 
and indirect support for the Israeli state and its participation in the 
genocide of the Palestinian people. This base symbolizes and serves the 
maintenance of American and Euro-Atlantic sovereignty and guardianship 
in the critical region of the Eastern Mediterranean, providing military 
capabilities for rapid reaction and handling of its geopolitical 
interests. Every ship that sets sail, every aircraft that takes off, 
every order issued from the Souda base offers services to the death 
machine that slaughters the peoples of the Middle East.

The far-right neoliberal government of ND, following the anti-social 
policies of SYRIZA, is proceeding with the passage of a series of 
anti-labor bills, exacerbating the already unbearable conditions of 
exploitation in labor camps. The anti-labor bill Georgiadis, which was 
passed in September 2023, initially introduced the 13-hour workday with 
employment with two employers and the 6-day workday, came to be 
enshrined and expanded with the passage of the new anti-labor bill with 
the false title "Fair Work for All", which now enshrines the 13-hour and 
6-day workday as a "managerial right of the employer". Thus, workers are 
transformed into expendable parts in the hands of the bosses, while 
their free time is abused, creating a physically and psychologically 
exhausting condition for the oppressed class to which they are called 
upon to compromise under the fear of dismissal or vindictive treatment 
due to lack of "good faith".
Liberalized working hours, the flexibility of labor relations, 
undeclared and black work, the lack of protective measures in the 
workplace, the abolition of Sunday holidays and labor inspection, the 
criminalization of union action and strikes, the liberalization of 
layoffs and the gigantic increase in unemployment are signs of 
restructuring, which aim to exacerbate class inequalities and exclusions 
and the complete devaluation of the work and life of the plebeian strata.
The bosses, emboldened, under the full cover of state institutions, 
taking advantage of the multitude of anti-worker measures of recent 
years, proceed to further intensify exploitation, making working hours 
more flexible, while at the same time systematically violating safety 
conditions in the workplaces - as any control mechanisms have been 
discredited and abolished in practice - turning the labor camps into 
death traps. The five workers who lost their lives in the early hours of 
January 26, at the "Violanta" factory in Trikala, in the explosion that 
destroyed the facilities where they worked, injuring seven other 
workers, are neither a random event nor an accident but another state 
and capitalist crime. From the very beginning, state officials and 
regime media have attempted to cover up in order to absolve the real 
perpetrators of the murder: the employers who, under the full cover of 
the institutional authorities - as no substantive inspection had 
preceded - were committing systematic violations of safety regulations 
in the factory area, constructing illegal propane installations (while 
not even installing the necessary gas sensors), and were indifferent to 
the repeated notifications from workers who had detected a gas leak long 
ago, but also the state itself, which, having completely discredited and 
essentially abolished the already understaffed control mechanisms, not 
only turns a blind eye to the employers' arbitrariness but is also 
engaged, at the same time, in a systematic hunt for the struggling 
workers who defend their labor gains, abolishing the right to strike and 
criminalizing union action. Despite the systematic efforts of the state 
and the bosses to downplay the scale of work accidents and murders - 
with 201 having lost their lives and 332 having been seriously injured 
in 2025 alone - the murder of the five workers in Violanta highlighted 
in the most horrific way that we, the exploited and the oppressed, 
continue to pay with our blood for the maintenance and reproduction of 
the barbaric exploitative oppressive system.

The further plundering of the social base is taking place with the 
gigantic increase in the price of basic everyday goods. Meager wages and 
daily wages are not enough to cover the cost of survival, leading the 
vast majority of society to the risk of poverty. Increases in the prices 
of products in supermarkets make it a gamble to cover absolutely 
necessary needs, such as food. The imported price, which we hear from 
government lips every day, is nothing more than an intensification of 
the attack of the bosses with the aim of constantly maximizing their 
profits at the expense of the common people. At the same time, the cost 
of transportation is increasing due to the increase in fuel prices and 
heating, as a result of the criminal and extortionate policy of the 
energy cartel. To this condition of the depreciation of basic needs 
comes the housing issue, with the exorbitant rents and the auctions of 
primary residences by funds and servicers. While the future plans of the 
political and economic bosses have included the good of water, with the 
establishment of a regulatory authority and discussions about its 
privatization, initially in Thessaly.

In the face of the organized attack of the state and capital that 
locally and internationally has nothing more to promise than war and 
fascism, the only hope for societies lies in the barricades of the 
exploited and oppressed and the political, social and class organization 
of the struggle in the direction of social revolution and emancipation. 
Through unmediated anti-hierarchical and unguarded struggles from below, 
we can move on to the counterattack against exploitation and oppression. 
To rebuild life with basic ingredients of social solidarity, 
cooperation, without bosses and slaves. To make generalized social 
Self-Direction a tangible reality, to summarize political freedom and 
economic equality in the modern revolutionary program. For a libertarian 
movement of all the exploited and oppressed that will give way to real 
needs.
