(en) Iran, AF: STATEMENT OF ANARCHIST FRONT (IRAN) REGARDING MARCH 8, INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY (ca, de, it, pt, tr)[machine translation]

March 8 - From the cell to the street: Iranian women never give up! ----
On this International Women's Day, Iran is under bombardment and Iranian
women, as they have always been, are in the centre of fire, not as
victims but as fighters. ---- Since the early days of the Islamic
Republic, women were the ones who refused. When Khomeini imposed the
mandatory hijab in 1979. , women took to the streets within a few days.
For nearly five decades, they have been paying the price of this refusal
with jail, with whipping, with death. The regime has built its entire
ideological architecture on control of women's bodies, women's movement,
women's voices. And for five decades, women have been destroying this
architecture brick by brick.
When Mahsa Gina Amini was murdered in September 2022. , the women
ignited the flame that turned into the uprising "Women-Life-Freedom".
Not because they've been told to. Not because a party or leader has
given them permission. And they have been burning for decades and
finally the fire became visible to the world.
This flame has not been extinguished. In December 2025 and January 2026
women were again at the forefront of the uprisings, organizing, leading,
inspiring. The regime responded with its full and brutal force. Women
were beaten in the streets. Shot down with battle ammunition. Sexually
abused in custody. Tortured in cells. Some were killed. Their names may
not yet be known in the world, but we know them. We are wearing them. We
honor every woman who gave her life those weeks, demanding nothing more
than the right to exist freely and with dignity.
The prisons were again filled with women who had dared to stand up.
Today, as bombs fall on Iranian cities, these same women remain in
custody. Some were transferred to Revolutionary Guards military bases
used as living shields. Their cases are being conducted quickly through
the courts in silence and eclipse. The risk of mass executions is real.
Now war is added to oppression. Women in Tehran, in Minab, in cities
across Iran hide their children from rockets while their sisters rot in
cells. They care for the injured in damaged hospitals. They document the
atrocities on phones related to illegal VPN networks. They keep the
memory of the struggle alive in the darkest moment.
We make it clear: the liberation of Iranian women will not come from
American bombs or Israeli missiles. It won't come from a monarchy that
treated women like property before the Islamic Republic treated them
like sinners. Liberation will come, it's already coming, from the women
themselves. From below.
On this March 8, we honor every Iranian woman who refused. Every woman
who burns her hijab. Every woman that has gone out on the street. Every
woman who has been beaten, tortured and abused because she dared to
demand freedom. Every woman who was murdered and whose blood waters the
seeds of struggle. Every woman that is in a cell today. Every woman
that's alive and still fighting.
They're not waiting to be exempted. They are the liberation.
Without the Mule! Without Chess!
Woman - Life - Freedom!

Comment by the autonomous non-authorized group "AnarchoResistance":
We could have written different texts regarding women's liberation and
anti-patriarchy in connection with March 8. Feminism and the struggle
for female liberation and dignity are an integral part of anarchist
theory and struggle.
However, we decided to give a voice to those women who have been
brutally oppressed and physically destroyed for decades. These are the
ones we need to heed today. Shut up too with your campism and
anti-imperialism for idiots. Listen to them!
