with initiatives in which the anarchist presence was marked, as it could 
not be otherwise. The context in which we live is characterized by 
violence, authoritarianism, and fascism, with which governments impose 
exploitation, oppression, and death on the masses. War is the common 
instrument of domination, from the war waged with weapons in the many 
areas of the world devastated by conflict and genocide, to the internal 
war of poverty, exploitation, misery, oppression, and death; death here 
too, even among us: this is demonstrated by the nearly 1,000 workplace 
deaths this year, the nearly 100 transgender and lesbian feminicides, 
the many deaths due to inaccessible healthcare in a healthcare system 
held hostage by profit. Yet, the social death they seek to impose on us 
has not yet prevailed; on the contrary, in this bleak scenario, we have 
seen the streets fill up, the struggles radicalize, solidarity grow, and 
the practices of struggle regain centrality. Hope is reborn, making its 
way through the streets. We are present in these struggles, with the 
clarity of our message, our experience, and our goals. It is clearer 
than ever that we must strip governments of their tools of domination, 
which they use to maintain oppression. Never before has it been more 
necessary to challenge an intolerable present, to subvert order, to 
break down the divisions imposed by borders, nationalisms, bosses, 
genders, and religions, and to strengthen a vision based on solidarity 
and cooperation, on real social transformation, on freedom, on anarchy.

It is time for anarchy. We must be there, and we are here. We are in the 
streets, alongside those fighting, in real movements and grassroots 
organizations, bringing libertarian methods and practices. We have a 
precious heritage to share, punctuated by many experiences of 
repression, imprisonment, and exile, but also by many struggles, 
experiments, and cross-fertilizations that make our current intervention 
extremely meaningful and effective. It is a heritage sustained by a 
thought undefeated by history, whose clarity, after a century and a 
half, emerges intact to illuminate the present. A heritage nourished by 
a living organizational fabric made up of people, clubs, groups, and 
ongoing initiatives. 2025 opened in January with the FAI congress and 
concluded in the fall with the conference for the Federation's 80th 
anniversary. In between, a year of struggles, initiatives, presence in 
the streets, and constant activity. Because we are masters of nothing, 
and we want to share, share, and disseminate our heritage, keeping it 
alive. For freedom, for anarchy. Happy 2026.
