In order to take the time to reflect and develop perspectives for 
action, particularly as people of all categories who work or have worked 
in the National Education system, the Inter-Union Emancipation Tendency, 
which brings together union members from the CNT, CGT, FSU, and SUD, is 
organizing, with the support of the UD FO 75, an anti-militarist union 
training course on Friday, November 14, 2025, in Paris.

Workshop program:

9:30-10:00 a.m.: Welcome

10:00-10:30 a.m.: Introductory remarks

10:30-12:00 p.m.: Fighting against war, using the example of unionized 
teachers during the First World War, with Loïc Le Bars, author of The 
Pacifism of Unionized Teachers (lecture followed by a discussion)

12:00-1:00 p.m.: Lunch break

1:00-2:30 p.m.: How to fight against partnerships between my school and 
the army with the National Collective Against the Militarization of 
Youth and Schools (formerly the No to the SNU collective) (lecture 
followed by a discussion)

2:30-2:45 p.m.: Break

2:45-4:15 p.m.: How to demilitarize teaching? (Workshops by 
discipline/level)

4:15-4:30 p.m.: Closing remarks

Paintings by the poet Lucien Jacques and anti-militarist posters will 
also be on display.

Who can participate?

This workshop is open to all public sector workers (state, hospital, and 
local government), whether they are civil servants, permanent or 
contract employees, unionized or not (and regardless of the union), 
regardless of where you live or work in France. The necessary supporting 
documents will be provided.

We will provide financial support for colleagues traveling from far away.

Did you know? Every public sector employee is entitled to 12 days of 
paid union training per year, even if they are not unionized.

How to register?

Simply fill out the following form.

If you wish to benefit from an authorization to be absent from our 
workplace, you must submit it to your supervisor before Monday, October 
13th. You can of course register for the course after this date, but you 
must attend on your own time.
