A painful split, but now inevitable in the face of sclerotic and 
authoritarian management

A few months ago, a group of comrades, signatories among others of this 
document, decided to split from AL-FdCA, despite having contributed to 
consolidating it in decades of political militancy.

It was not a bolt from the blue, it was a painful and reasoned choice of 
a large group of militants in the face of the refusal without appeal, by 
the Secretariat of AL-FdCA, to convene an extraordinary Congress 
requested for some time. A denial that represented further proof of the 
level of sclerosis in the political organization that has long been 
embalmed in a formal aspect of continuity - unfortunately passively 
accepted by most - that has covered and covers the inability to deal 
with the new that is advancing.

A split that is also inevitable precisely to rediscover the meaning of 
anarchist communism

A sclerosis that has also produced, in recent years, a self-referential 
ideological identity that cannot suffice, nor has it ever historically 
sufficed for our political organization, to remain faithful to the 
historical mandate that we as anarchist communists have always pursued. 
An ideological identity that is also deprived of the necessary debate on 
the emerging aspects linked to the new international scenario and the 
state of our reference class.

A world scenario that cannot find us helpless

The world is on the brink of a catastrophe, environmental, social, 
cultural and political. Capitalism (understood as a way of producing and 
consuming that determines social relations) is destroying entire regions 
of the planet, preventing populations from living in those territories. 
The dramatic effects of strong and increasingly rapid climate changes 
aggravated by irresponsible management of territorial resources deprive 
populations of the essential goods to reproduce human life. The social 
and cultural devastation is evident, social atomization and 
privatization of social services continue their path in search of ever 
greater profits that are swallowed up by the financial system.

The restructuring of capitalism and the redefinition of the areas of 
global power are determining authoritarian changes in all countries of 
the world, while militarism and war - which is now invoked as a 
necessity by international actors - are gaining the upper hand over 
everything.

The acceleration of the processes of political and social disintegration 
is leading us, even on a national scale, into a dead-end tunnel: the 
demands for individual and collective freedom and self-determination are 
being attacked at all levels, to deal with repressive and censorship 
dynamics.

The role of the State, as well as the processes of economic 
exploitation, has also changed and has ceded the role of manager of 
investments and the admissible level of welfare to financial 
oligarchies. The privatization of public goods, healthcare and schools 
have led to a further impoverishment of an ever-widening stratum of the 
population, increasingly deprived of essential goods and services 
necessary for a minimally dignified life.

From Bologna the need to give ourselves paths and tools to adapt 
traditional procedures of struggle

What has happened in recent years has shown that political organizations 
that dogmatically close in on themselves end up no longer being able to 
interpret political and cultural events, the new dimensions of power, 
the new determinations of the class conflict, escaping the inevitable 
contradictions that these changes bring with them.

The breakdown of our class, imposed by the developments that capitalism 
has had in recent decades, is such that to have an overall vision of 
what are the social conditions of the class itself, participation in 
mass structures (trade unions) with the same methods and with the same 
tools as a few decades ago is no longer sufficient. Our main beacon 
remains class anarchism and our political path is implemented in the 
field of class struggle, but we believe that the aspects of 
organizational dualism are no longer practicable today according to easy 
schemes tested in past decades.

Having acknowledged the situation of no return and considering the 
experience in AL/Fdca now concluded, we have self-convened in Bologna on 
June 16 of this year.

In the assembly, believing that, in this historical phase, it is 
necessary to maintain a strong connection between the comrades who left 
the political organization Al-FdCA, we decided to structure ourselves in 
a Coordination of the various territorial realities of belonging, 
hypothesizing specific initiatives of participation in the 
demonstrations of opposition to state and capitalist power.

We collectively entrust ourselves with the task of coordinating our 
activities as best as possible to remain faithful to our 
internationalist and anti-patriotic direction and to build barriers 
against nationalism and racism, patriarchal society and militarism, for 
a world at peace, without wars.

Furthermore, a comparison has already begun between us to update the 
interpretative grids of the past with respect to the scenario of 
modifications that capitalism imposes today, convinced that historical 
invariance can never be the organizational form of any OP, even more so 
if it is a political organization of anarchists.

Combining intelligence and struggle experiences to strengthen social 
response

The comparison undertaken, which we propose to open to anyone who shares 
our libertarian and class principles, concerns the need to reflect on 
the changes taking place, grasping the aspects of continuity of 
domination in its new forms and modalities, broadening our base of 
theoretical knowledge and analysis and making it a shared heritage, 
valorizing our ideological grid but in an inclusive and non-rigid way.

For these reasons we open ourselves to those in the anarchist world and 
elsewhere who feel the need to put their intelligence, their experiences 
of struggle into a common Coordination that knows how to build a 
collective defense of the struggles and participation of libertarians in 
their political, cultural and social activity.

Organize for open thematic fronts of struggle: local, national and 
international

The economic exploitation by bosses and small bosses of workers, 
precarious workers, false VAT numbers, young immigrants, 
students/workers, and the remaining subaltern class, is increasingly 
decentralized and disjointed in the territories of the metropolises and 
provinces.

It is here that the thousand potential forms of conflict of claims 
reside and it is here that these forms often remain at an embryonic 
stage, isolated from other expressions of claims.

The intervention that all of us propose is expressed both in building 
and defending participation and, where the conditions exist, in 
supporting and spreading the conflict in the forms that the territories 
today seek to express.

This intervention plan is fundamental, today even more than yesterday.

We believe it is necessary to organize ourselves according to thematic 
fronts of struggle capable of:

strengthening the territorial social response;

permeating the political organization with its own demands, its own 
languages, its own methods, to strengthen its own social utility, 
maintaining it as an organic part of the class itself.

In this sense we also look with interest at the organizational practices 
of our foreign sister organizations, seizing those tools profitably used 
in their militant and intervention realities.

Tools and next stepsUL

Today we have opened a new experience, all to be built.

For this reason we believe it is appropriate that the form and substance 
of the nascent Coordination be built in the desired and awaited process 
of identifying the various intervention fronts, articulating proposals 
and work groups born with the interest of comrades present in the 
various territories.

In short, the "Salamandre" Coordination:

is born on assumptions open to those who want to bring their 
contribution, proposing spaces in which to analyze the themes identified 
for in-depth analysis, in view of the identification of the fronts of 
struggle, by working groups or by individual comrades;

it has an internal bulletin as a tool for sharing and exchanging 
information and interventions;

it gives itself an annual, public meeting, in which to build the debate 
and define the various common initiatives, comparing the various local, 
national and international experiences.

The functional secretarial activities will be carried out on a rotation 
basis.
