(en) Germany, Die Platform: A joint look back at the Re:fuse Congress (ca, de, it, pt, tr)[machine translation]

The Re:fuse Congress took place in Hamburg from October 31 to November
3. Lectures, strategy discussions and networking took place at numerous
locations throughout the city center. The congress had over 600
participants, over 400 took part in events at the same time during peak
times. Despite the large numbers, the congress ran smoothly. Be it the
daily food, the bed exchange, the premises or the technology - our
thanks go to everyone who was involved in the organization and made this
congress possible!
Because the program represented a big step forward for us as a movement:
There were many exciting events in terms of content. These included, for
example, the event on the labor turn of the climate justice movement or
a lecture by our French comrades from the Union communiste libertaire
(UCL) on anti-racist and anti-imperialist struggles. The panel
discussion on anarchist trade union work with the Free Workers Union
(FAU) and the exchange on anarchist youth work by the Autonomous Student
Syndicate Berlin (ASS) were also events from which you could take a lot
away.
The program items that we organized were also very successful. On
Friday, the platform offered a workshop on strategic approaches to
anarcho-feminist practice. On Saturday morning, our two organizations
sat on the panel discussion "Out of the scene - into the classroom".
Together with the ASS, the FAU and the Harburger Sauerkrautfabrik, the
discussion focused on how we can free ourselves from the self-isolating
subculture and organize with people from our companies, schools and
neighborhoods. The line-up was completed by an event from Perspective
Self-Management on strategic wage labor. The subsequent small group
networking on Saturday was well attended. We were very pleased with the
great interest in our events!
For us as politically organized anarchists, the congress enabled us to
get to know each other better, not only personally, but also as
organizations, and to exchange ideas with our comrades from the UCL and
the Dutch Forum Voor Georganiseerd Anarchisme. We had a good time, and
not just during the events. Moments that will remain in our memories
were our breakfast together, the discussion-filled lunch breaks, or our
table football tournament on one of the evenings. It was great to see
how our movement is growing!
At the same time, we also realized that other formats will be needed in
the future to not only address the content discussed at the congress,
but also to discuss it in the necessary depth. Once again, it has become
clear how far apart the various currents of anarchism are. In order to
develop concrete strategies and organize ourselves socially, we see the
need in the future to come together especially with those who want to
pull together with us.
Thank you very much for the invitation to the congress. We look back
positively and look forward with hope to further congresses where we can
advance our strategy!
