"BOMBING" CAMPAIGN REACHES AMERIKA

MULTINATIONAL FORCE CLAIMS RESPONSIBILITY

OLYMPIA, WASHINGTON, USA, February 20th, 1998 -- Early this morning,
the armory of the 2nd Battalion of the Washington State National Guard
in Olympia was "bombed" to protest the imminent bombing of Iraq. A joint
force comprising the Vancouver-based Ministry of the Environment (MOE)
and the heretofore unknown Department of Perception Management --
Olympia Branch (DPM-OB) claimed responsibility in a communique sent to
the Olympian and Seattle Post-Intelligencer newspapers.

The joint force "bombing" was conducted in black and green spraypaint.
Slogans included "No Blood for Oil," "Stop the Killing Machine" as well
as a mysterious symbol which Olympia police officials described as "a
circled letter A." The armory stores tanks, jeeps and other materiel
for the local National Guard. While the armory is not a direct US
military target, Secretary Kropotkin of DPM-OB vowed to increase the
scope of their "attacks" if the US-led bombing of Iraq commenced.

The south Puget Sound area of Washington state is concentrated with
many key US military installations such as McChord Air Force Base, Fort
Lewis Army Base, Bremerton Naval Base and the Bangor submarine base
which houses nuclear-powered Trident submarines. There is also a major
US Army recruiting station in nearby Lacey, Washington and the large
Boeing aircraft complex which manufactures AWACS.

The perpetrators of this morning's "attack" used two types of "weapons"
according to experts from US Army intelligence. Preliminary   forensic
reports indicate the use of an American-made Ultraflat Black Krylon
Interior/Exterior paint manufactured in Solon, Ohio. The manufacturer
boasts "No Runs, No Drips." The second type of "weapon" was a TY 6466
John Deere Agricultural Paint from Moline, Illinois. Experts believe
the paint can has a 3-5" vertical fanspray pattern and are currently
conducting tests for lead content.

Yesterday's action marks the first time that a "bombing" has occurred
on US-soil after three "attacks" last week at US consulates in
Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal. It also marks the first time that a
multinational force of Canadians and Americans has come together to
carry out a "bombing." The Ministry of the Environment is well-known to
Canadian authorities, while the Department of Perception Management is
an unknown quantity. The FBI is investigating DPM-OB while the Central
Intelligence Agency is conducting a review of MOE activities in
conjunction with the Canadian Security and Intelligence Service (CSIS).

Mr. Blue of the Ministry of the Environment is urging other branches of
the DPM and MOE to begin "attacks" of US and Canadian military and
diplomatic targets in their local communities to protest the war crimes
of Western powers in Iraq. CIA, FBI, CSIS and Interpol officials all
denied that "bombings" would spread in the upcoming days.

"We have things under control," was the only statement made by an
unnamed source at the FBI.
