A space for self-management, where over the years many people have come 
into contact with forms of organization other than the authoritarian 
ones imposed by the State and Capital.

A place to practice forms of food self-determination and experiment with 
different forms of horticulture.

A space for meeting, discussion, and debate, as well as for sharing 
practices and knowledge, which has hosted numerous initiatives over the 
years.

An unconcreted space, beneath which waterways flow, which contributes to 
the hydrological safety of the area-think of the deaths and damage 
caused by the 2017 flood.

A green space that constitutes a fundamental resource in this climate 
crisis, as well as providing refuge and habitat for many animal species.

All of this risks being erased by interests and profits that, as always, 
are placed above environmental protection and a better life for all.

The threat of eviction for the Urban Gardens is part of a broader 
context that has seen a severe restriction of proletarian freedom of 
expression and demonstration in recent years. In recent years, the 
government led by fascist heirs of the MSI (Italian Socialist Party) has 
imposed new liberticidal laws that impose years of prison time and hefty 
fines for standard practices of the labor movement and protest movements 
in general. Occupations, roadblocks, and unannounced demonstrations.

various sectors of society, from workplaces to schools.

To stop the overbuilding of the Urban Gardens, we must reject any 
temptation to play institutional games, which can only fuel the 
Democratic Party's increasingly failing local power politics, which is 
always the same: trying to manage the crisis through negotiation and 
power-sharing. To relaunch a movement on the broader issues of climate, 
cities, and exploitation, we must be able to bring together, on a 
horizontal level, the diverse experiences that have shaped the Urban 
Gardens.
