Steun voor Daniil Mukhametov, een Russische deserteur die de Franse
republiek wil uitwijzen! ---- Daniil, een jonge Russische
elektromechanische technicus, ontvluchtte de mobilisatie in Rusland
omdat hij niet in de oorlog wil vechten, noch wil moorden of vermoord
worden. Hij sprong van een trein die Litouwen doorkruiste om de
Russische enclave Kaliningrad te bereiken. ---- De Litouwse autoriteiten
sturen hem vermoedelijk terug naar Rusland om het verontrusten van hun
agressieve buurman te vermijden. Daniil vluchtte toen naar Finland en
liftte naar Frankrijk, waarbij hij geloofde dat het het land van
mensenrechten en vrijheid is. Maar de Franse republiek heeft net
besloten hem naar Litouwen uit te wijzen. Dit is bijna zeker een
doodvonnis, aangezien hij dan zou worden overhandigd aan de Russische
autoriteiten die hem voor zijn desertie zouden laten betalen met de
straf die in zulke gevallen is voorgeschreven: de doodstraf.
Vrienden in ballingschap en Russische deserteurs hebben ons zojuist
geinformeerd dat ze op vrijdag 17 juli een ondersteunende rally
organiseren. Het Olga Taratuta Initiatief roept al degenen die
deserteurs steunen en zich keren tegen oorlog in het algemeen op om zich
aan te sluiten bij deze rally, die zal plaatsvinden:
