As we previously announced, we have decided to boycott the political 
book fair to be held at the Bourse du Travail in Lille this weekend. We 
reject all forms of censorship, wherever it comes from, and we are 
committed to reason over obscurantism, to collective debate over the 
arbitrary actions of a few. ---- Houria Bouteldja's participation in 
this event prompted a reaction from her comrades in Lille. In order to 
open up a space for discussion that is being denied to us, that is being

Against Bouteldja's visit to the Lille political book fair
This weekend, a political book fair is taking place at the Lille labor 
exchange, organized by the "Les Etaques" publishing house. Houria 
Bouteldja, former leader of the PIR – Party of the Natives of the 
Republic, has been invited to present her latest book "Clarifications" 
in the form of a debate with Alain Brossat (Trotskyist of the LCR). But 
it is indeed a new platform (the second in two weeks in Lille) that is 
being offered to this decolonial activist who advocates racialist, 
pro-religious and recently patriotic theses as new horizons for the far 
left.

Exit the material reality of social movements and the class struggle, 
everything would be a question of political union between the 
"barbarians", assimilated to Muslims and the "little whites", a bit 
redneck and racist. As for her vision of women, Jews and homosexuals, 
Bouteldja performs intellectual gymnastics to say that she is not 
"phobic" but in the end absolves the reactionary ideas of her camp in 
the name of colonization, its consequences and the "savagery" of her own 
people.

Finally, in a recent text, she calls for a new transcendence, that of 
internationalist patriotism as a pure and simple replacement for the 
communist and revolutionary ideal. Moreover, she is not revolutionary at 
all because she is a politician who called for a vote for Mélenchon in 
the last presidential elections and who plays the disruptive role of 
social democracy to gain market share.

For all this and much more, we, anarchists in Lille who take part in 
strikes and social movements, denounce this invitation and make 
available this brochure, which criticizes the positions of the PIR and 
Bouteldja. It is available below in PDF format and will soon be 
available in print in several locations.
