oppressed people live a daily struggle on all fronts: social, intimate,

and tormenting condition because it makes even the simple fact of being 
born female, of being homosexual, transsexual, non-binary, of belonging 
to a subjugated ethnic group, of being invisible, tiring.

Against every form of oppression, against every power, anarcho-feminism, 
instead, sees and supports every person in their uniqueness and is 
committed to ensuring that this condition can be definitively interrupted.

It is not enough to talk about it.

The presumed equality so much flaunted and never truly achieved is not 
enough.

In Sicily, as in much of the world, women continue to be fired from jobs 
because of their maternity, gender choices and basically because of 
being female.

Women continue to suffer every type of social and intimate, physical and 
psychological violence. They continue to die at the hands of men who 
consider them a fragile minority, who treat them as objects to be 
possessed, from whom they always demand availability, understanding, 
subordination. In Europe from 2010 to 2021, more than 6,000 women died 
from voluntary homicide committed by a partner or relative (Eurostat).

Today we remember all the abused and raped girls, all the girls and 
women beaten and killed, today we remember the abandoned elderly, as 
well as all the women forced to be caregivers of an entire society, 
which does not see them, but squeezes them by destroying them.

Today we remember the women in prison, even more invisible than ever, 
women who day after day are stripped of pieces of dignity and rights, 
until nothing but dust is left.

Today we remember the women at war, those who resist and fight, those 
who promote a concrete non-violent pacifism, the women who escape, who 
suffer all forms of war violence, those who die, those who survive.

Today we ask everyone to try to imagine a world without patriarchy and 
to try every day to do something to shorten that mental and temporal 
distance that always and only makes it a utopia. But it is not a utopia 
and it is necessary that that day be today because no woman should 
suffer and die anymore, no person should be less free than others 
because of absurd mechanisms of power.

Today even among us comrades we look each other in the eye to reiterate 
once again that we need everyone, even men, who if they do not choose to 
be concretely feminists, then choose to be patriarchal. Men must also 
speak out and act against the imbecile networks of patriarchy and all 
those forms of oppression that force a minority of people to suffer.

Comrades, be feminists!

Comrades, let's continue to fight without fear!

Let's make places and ideas free, let's make our strength felt that is 
called freedom. Let's fight for every oppressed person, let's act so 
that feminism is not an eternal utopia, but that the freedom of every 
person is lasting. Let's cooperate for a society of peace, made up of 
the participation of all.
