The world is falling deeper and deeper into the devastation of war. The 
states of the European Union have started rearmament plans to equip 
themselves with heavy vehicles, weapons and ammunition supplies. At the 
same time, they are preparing to increase the ranks of the armies, 
trying to enlist the younger generations by propagating militarist 
ideology in schools and in society, presenting a military career as an 
alternative to unemployment and precariousness, reintroducing military 
service in countries where it had been abolished or suspended.

At the beginning of May, the state of Israel began a new phase of the 
genocidal war on Gaza, whose declared objectives are mass deportation 
and occupation, while the military grip on the West Bank is tightening. 
In those same days, the conflict that broke out between India and 
Pakistan led to a direct clash between two nuclear states. Modi's 
nationalist, authoritarian and racist government has the support of the 
USA as well as Italy, which has an arms trade with India that benefits 
the owners of the war industry.

Meanwhile, despite the rhetoric of the government, the massacre of the 
Russian-Ukrainian war has continued for over three years. Italy is part 
of this conflict by deploying troops, vehicles and aircraft in Eastern 
Europe. The Italian government recently confirmed these missions, also 
deploying a significant military contingent for rapid intervention, 
ready to be used at the discretion of the executive.

The increase in military spending at a global level will have an impact 
on the financial market and will cause the scarcity of capital available 
for the so-called development policies in the poorest countries, it will 
also create a debt crisis that will have very serious consequences, 
determining cuts to services and wages. Pension funds also invest in the 
arms industry, this is a clear example of the impact that all this has 
on our lives.

The intelligence services of various European countries continue to 
raise the alarm of a Russian attack on the EU by 2030. These 
announcements contribute significantly to accustoming us to the prospect 
of war, to make the popular classes more easily accept the cuts 
resulting from the increase in military spending.

Faced with the escalation of war, it is necessary to multiply the 
antimilitarist commitment, against all armies, against the war industry, 
against all imperialisms and nationalisms. In this perspective, it is 
important to strengthen the networks of active solidarity at an 
international level, and to support those who, on every front, desert or 
in any case refuse to participate in the massacres.

In the coming weeks it will be important to participate in the 
libertarian segment of the demonstration on May 31 in La Spezia against 
the war industry, and to promote antimilitarist initiatives in all 
territories, starting with the day of struggle on June 2 launched by the 
Antimilitarist Assembly and the days of action against NATO launched by 
the IFA from June 24 to 26 in conjunction with the NATO summit in The Hague.

The 2025 NATO summit will be held at the World Forum in The Hague, 
Netherlands, from June 24 to 26. As the war machine gathers thousands of 
delegates from its 32 member states to orchestrate the next great wave 
of military expansion, we cannot remain silent. We must raise a banner 
of defiance and resistance. NATO does not exist to protect us. It serves 
the interests of states, corporations and the few at the expense of the 
many.

The state and NATO, or any other multinational military alliance, do not 
bring us security, they bring us control by seeking only our obedience, 
our compliance and our capitulation. Whether it is the endemic police 
violence in our communities or the bloody battlefields of Ukraine and 
the oceans of ruins in Gaza, we have only one enemy: capitalism and the 
state.

Since its inception in 1947, NATO has acted only as an enforcer of 
imperialist violence, an instrument of repression and an engine of war. 
It does not protect peace. It is our class enemy and a direct threat to 
the life and well-being of every one of us. Our fight is not between 
nations, it is against the ruling class we all resist. This remains 
true, even during the brutal reality of war. Under the guise of European 
and national security, NATO governments are funneling billions into 
military budgets while cutting vital social services.

While they build armies, they leave us to fight for survival. They 
impose austerity while they hoard resources for war. They build armies 
while we fight for healthcare, housing and basic dignity. We watch them 
every day as they increasingly turn to the next generation and prepare 
them to take up arms, deprived of any opportunity, seeing no choice but 
to enlist to become cannon fodder in conflicts not of their own making, 
sold to adventure, false brotherhood and patriotism. When the conscripts 
return, mutilated and broken, they are cast aside, useful only as 
symbols for empty parades. In their military regalia, they show in the 
light of day that propaganda never ends.

We call on anarchists, anti-authoritarians and all those who oppose war 
to come together, organize and resist militarism. NATO and its warlords 
will meet, but so will we. We will take to the streets. We will disrupt 
their displays of power. We will create networks of solidarity and 
directly oppose their wars, their militarized police and their 
repression of our movements. We anarchists fight for a world without 
borders, without states and without armies that support their domination.

We call for international solidarity against NATO and any manifestation 
of militarized oppression, be it the North Atlantic Treaty Organization 
(NATO), the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), the 
Peninsula Shield Force (PSF), the Alliance of Sahel States (AES), the 
ReArm Europe 2030 Plan or any other so-called "collective security" pact 
or army. In any case, they serve the same purpose: to support domination 
through force, to perpetuate suffering throughout the world. The weapons 
they use today to secure resources, will be turned against us tomorrow.

We call on all anarchists, anti-authoritarians and anti-militarists to 
act these days in The Hague and around the world in international 
solidarity. Let the specifics of our plans grow together. Organize 
together and prepare our actions, together we will let them know: we 
reject the false choices of nationalism. We reject the false idea that 
NATO is there to protect. We reject the brutality of their militarism 
and the martial doctrines of war. We reject their budget proposals that 
will starve the coffers of the working class and we support the victims 
and deserters of all wars.

No war between peoples, no peace between classes.
