i-Contact, a new resource for Progressive, Alternative, Independent Video
makers and Video Activists, now has a web page.  the UTL is
http://www.gifford.co.uk/~bedwards/video/.  I have included a text version
for those without WWW access.  I would appreciate any comments as we are in
the process of formulating our ideas.  We are running an Email list which

This is a draft web site as this is very new project.  We are hoping, with
your help, to develop our ideas and the web site will reflect this.  We
would love your comments and if you join the Email list can become actively
involved in the formulation of what i-Contact is.

We are a new non-profit making initiative for Progressive Video Makers/Video
Activists.  We aim "To provide a video platform for those ignored by the
mainstream".  Although we are based in the UK (Bristol) we are keen on
Co-Operating with individuals and groups all over the world.

Most with access to television understand the world through it so video is a
powerful tool for positive (and negative) social change. We are concerned
with civil rights, the environment, social justice and destruction of
communities, as well as access to decision making and resources. All these
must be seen in a local and global context.

We want to work with:-
Campaigns/communities who feel video would help them
Anyone with access to video equipment or space
Anyone who has footage for a video magazine
Other people/groups who wish to share resources/footage
And anyone who can contribute
