         CALLING ALL ANTI-NAZI ACTIVISTS AROUND THE WORLD

     Campaign Against the Nazis in Melbourne Australia has been
campaigning for over a year now against Nazi organisation, Nation
Action [NA]. Our next rally in on 15 March and we need your
support.
 
     In January 1997 NA launched a "bookshop" in Fawkner, a
multi-racial working class suburb of Melbourne. NA have used this
operation as an organising centre and as a base for disseminating
poisonous Nazis propaganda. National Action hates Asians,
Aborigines, immigrants, Jews, gays and lesbians, trade unionists,
drug users, feminists, socialists and anarchists.
 
     Campaign Against the Nazis is a broad united front coalition
of groups and individuals united in our opposition to Nazism and
fascism. We are a direct action organisation. We are in favour of
large and disciplined counter demonstrations against Nazis and
fascists whenever and wherever they meet. We believe in the
necessity for public education about the fascist threat. We
believe that all victims of fascist violence have a right to
defend themselves.
 
     CAN has organised five rallies, several multicultural
concerts and countless educational activities, including the
publication and distribution of 20,000 broadsheets about the
dangers of fascism. On January 26th this year -- the 210th
anniversary of the invasion of Australia -- CAN organised a
Survival Day concert in conjunction with the Mirimbiak Nations
Aboriginal Corporation and the Aborigines Advancement League.
 
     As a result of CAN's organising, NA has not managed to put
down roots in the Fawkner community. The bookshop is rarely open
-- the place looks more like a bunker! National Action activity
has also declined. We've got this far. We want them out!
 
     On Sunday 15 March at 1 pm, we are holding a major rally to
mark the anniversary of our first successful rally in Fawkner.
Protestors will meet at 1 pm at C.B. Smith Reserve in Jukes Road
Fawkner and then march on the bookshop.
 
     We call on all Victorians to mark this date in your diary
now and be there. Contact us for leaflets to distribute in your
networks.
 
     Interstate and International anti-Nazi organisations and
activists can support this rally by sending a short greeting [up
to 250 words]. We will read out all of the greetings on the day.
