MATERIALS NEEDED FOR DOCUMENTARY
February 11, 1998
1) The Support Committee for Maquiladora Workers is starting to produce a
video documentary on the Han Young workers' struggle. It would be very
helpful to have photos, articles and video footage wherever available from
folks nationwide involved in the Hyundai boycott and other solidarity
actions. Please send these materials to:

2) A number of you organized demonstrations on February 7 in support of the
Han Young workers. In some cases, these were dual-purpose events, also
protesting the Mexican's government's role in the Chiapas human rights
crisis. If you have not already sent us a report of your event on Saturday,
please send it now. Thanks to all of you who have continued to stand in
solidarity with these workers, through a number of ups and downs.
International solidarity has been essential throughout this struggle, which
has such a potential for bringing profound changes to the border region. In
the next few days, as events unfold, we hope to be able to post another
update on the situation at Han Young.
