Seoul(Friday, 6 Feb.) -
Strikes did not happen. Today morning both trade unions reached
the agreement on layoff and make a statement in triparts commission.
It consists of the increasing of pension for unemployed and the
approval of teachers' trade union, the right of organization public
officials from 1999, political activity of trade unions etc.
Originally the partial strike and local assembly was scheduled this
afternoon by KCTU, but all cancelled. It will be voted to obtain
consent in delegates committee in KCTU.
After announcement, a rank andfile member writed in KCTU online
board; "First target of layoff will be the central leadership."
