Monday we accompanied Yuval - refusnic of the High-school graduates initiative
to the recruiting center, and demonstrated there. (He received two weeks in jail
as a beginner.) Friday we had the usual joint demonstrations of local villagers,
internationals, and Israeli anarchists against the wall initiative at Bil'in,
Ni'ilin, and Um Salmuna. Jayyous seems to join this tradition. Israelis arrived
there in spite of road blocks of Israeli state forces. Ni'ilin Friday 28-11-08 -

Yuval Oron-Ofir, a signatory of the 2008 high school seniors refusal letter, was
sentenced on Monday, 24 Nov., to 14 days in military prison for his refusal to
serve in the Israeli military. Yuval is 19 years of age. He lives in the
Arab-Jewish village of Neve shalom / Wahat al-Salaam.
Yuval refuses to join the Israeli military as it is an occupying force. He is
due out of first period in prison on 5 Dec. His prison address is:

At noon, we marched as usual from the village center to the route of the
separation fence. Like they do often, state force started to shoot us with tear
gas grenades even before we reached the route causing us to regroup. As often,
they tested on us this Friday a new kind of weapons. It was a tear gas grenades
of the kind used to be thrown by hands which was adjusted to be shot by a
special gun. This "experiment" resulted with a serious damage to the eye of a
Japanese activist. After they finished the "experiment" they minimalized the
amount of shooting and the more experienced of us succeeded to enter the route
of the separation fence. In spite of threats and some grenades we tayed there
till we decided to end the demonstration.
